Paso Robles Public Safety Facility

RRM Design Group designed a combined Public Safety Center to replace the City of Paso Robles’s antiquated fire and police stations. The fire station includes living quarters for the fire personnel, heavy and light apparatus bays, ample storage for suppression equipment and supplies, and fire administration offices. On the law enforcement side, the facility includes a full substation, detention facility with evidence booking, processing and warehousing, and police administration offices. The facility has separate men’s and women’s restrooms, locker rooms for police and fire personnel, and a full-scale gym for both departments. The public safety center includes a detached building to house emergency operation center (sufficient for all City departments to utilize), which also doubles as a training classroom, technology and equipment rooms for radio and computers, and a state-of-the-art dispatch center.
