Alex G. Spanos Stadium at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)
RRM Design Group designed the new Alex G. Spanos Stadium, a renovation of the former Cal Poly Mustang football and soccer stadium. The project consisted of enlarging the field to NCAA standards for football and soccer (including drainage, irrigation and new sod); increasing the amount of stadium seating/bleachers; adding new concession stands and restroom facilities; renovating existing locker rooms; installing a new stadium entry gate and a dedicated memorial plaza; and providing a new three-story, 14,500 sf clubhouse for coachs’ offices, VIP seating, catering and banquet facilities, additional concessions and souvenir retail space.
