The City of Manteca hired RRM to prepare a scoping document set for a new 7,000 sf transit center located near the corner of Main Street and Moffat Blvd. RRM Design Group has previously prepared the Moffat Boulevard Land Use Study Strategic Plan in 2006 and is very familiar with the multimodal transit-oriented and redevelopment goals of the City. The building includes three offices, a catering kitchen, a multipurpose meeting room, a lobby area with ticket sales booths, a staff conference room, and staff restrooms. On and off-site improvements for the 3.1 acre project area include: 100 off-street parking spaces, a taxi loading and staging area, a city bus loading and staging area, a possible commercial bus line loading and staging area, a future rail platform for the Ace Train, and possible future connection to the high speed rail. The Tidewater Bikeway also passes through the site and will be incorporated into the project with the help of the RRM bike trail team.
