Vallejo Contract Planning

RRM provided staff planning services for entitlement application processing for a large-scale industrial project on nearly 40 acres. The project involves the redevelopment of the old General Mills flour milling plant on a parcel adjacent to Mare Island Strait. The improvements include the replacement of the existing wharf, the development of a second wharf for barges, and the construction of a “green” cement or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) processing plant. The project also includes an annexation, a general plan amendment, and a rezone; an environmental impact report is being prepared. Other responsible agencies include the Bay Conservation and Development Commission, the Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
