William Payne Park Master Plan
William Payne Park is an existing 14-acre park predominantly tailored to active sports – soccer, baseball, and BMX. Livermore Area Recreation and Park District retained RRM to prepare a new master plan that makes more efficient use of the space, and is reflective of current community needs and recreation trends. The new plan, recently approved, is exploring the conversion of natural grass to synthetic turf, reorganizing the existing features and parking lot, and proposing new amenities including futsal courts, outdoor exercise areas, and a cricket pitch. RRM conducted an extensive outreach plan to get a sense of community needs, including a Facebook ad campaign that resulted in hundreds of people participating that otherwise might not have.
