Springtown Open Space
This project in Livermore CA, is a conversion of a former 85-acre golf course in the Springtown neighborhood. RRM was hired by Livermore Area Recreation and Park District to run a series of public workshops to determine potential open space and park uses. RRM prepared 3 alternative site plans to explore a range of recreational uses on the linear property as it winds through the neighborhood. The approved concept plan includes a 2-mile long walking trail, educational interpretation nodes, an outdoor classroom, nature play, playgrounds, a splash pad, play courts, a dog park, a community garden, disc golf, and passive open space.
