Santa Cruz Active Transportation Program Implementation

RRM’s in-house team of traffic engineers, civil engineers, trail designers, and surveyors are working with the SCCRTC and City of Santa Cruz to implement a 2.5-mile segment of the planned 32 mile long Santa Cruz Rail Trail. This stretch of the trial will link the City’s iconic Boardwalk with the Natural Bridges open space area and Wilder Ranch further up the coast. From a transportation standpoint, Segment 7 will connect residential neighborhoods directly to schools, parks, shopping districts, employment centers, and other commuter routes. The project is funded through an ATP grant and is part of the SCCRTC’s ATP regional program. RRM’s team is managing the ATP grant process to navigate the project through the engineering and environmental approval process.
