San Pablo Park in Berkeley has been beautifully transformed through RRM Design Group’s innovative design and construction administration services. The renovation features enhanced playgrounds for children ages 2-5 and 5-12, a revitalized tennis court, and significant ADA improvements, along with new seat walls, shade structures, bleachers, and site furnishings. Collaborating closely with the City of Berkeley, RRM facilitated public outreach, produced construction documents, and managed permitting. A unique collaboration with a public artist resulted in bench seats and art pieces inspired by native plant species, adding a special touch to the park. Completed at the end of 2020, this renovation has redefined San Pablo Park as a vibrant community space. The park also includes soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts, a dog park, and a new community center renovation. Parkgoers were initially skeptical of any changes, but now love their “new” 30-acre park!
