Oxnard Water Division Administration/Blending Station #1

Thanks to the remodeling and expansion of an existing administration building and pumping station for the City of Oxnard, the 10,500 square foot building provides more functional and ergonomic office space and support facilities for approximately 30 employees. Full architectural services were provided, including building/site planning, space planning, and upgraded Title 24 ADA handicap accessibility as well as Title 24 energy efficiency compliance.

The facility incorporates numerous sustainable “green” features such as active natural ventilation through operable windows, extensive use of large window wall systems and skylights to further reduce the electrical loads on interior spaces. Drought resistant landscaping surrounds the office building providing a unique ‘xeriscape’ of dense ground cover, colorful succulents, and flowering trees. This building was the second facility completed under the North Yard Master Plan which, in addition to the Chloramination Disinfection Building, established the new “water yard architecture” for the entire Water Division Headquarters.
