Olympus Park

RRM was hired to help guide a 3.1-acre neighborhood park through a robust public outreach process, conceptual design, construction drawings through implementation. Park amenities include an exercise pad for yoga and other fitness classes, a small dog park, bike pump track, natural play elements including an adventure hill, picnicking, shade, public art elements, and a garden designed in collaboration with the San Diego Botanical Garden.

A major component of the continued success of this project was effective public outreach. RRM worked with a vocal community to discuss any challenges and issues and approved a park plan that everyone is proud to support. The park was finalized in the summer of 2021 and has been busy every day since. With its completion, it has helped the City of Encinitas take a big stride towards their “10-Minute Walk” initiative where their goal is to have a park with a 10-minute distance everywhere in the city.
