Los Angeles Regional Fire Station No. 82

RRM Design Group was commissioned to design the Los Angeles Regional Fire Station, in Hollywood, CA. The site was just over half an acre for a 42,000 SF building, parking and site improvements. RRM’s solution uses two sites and underground parking. The fire station is three stories with underground parking – the first one for the City of Los Angeles. The first floor includes three heavy apparatus bays, three paramedic bays, and apparatus support spaces. The administrative offices are located on the second floor with a conference room. The living quarters are split between the second and third floors and include the kitchen, dining room, dayroom, dormitories, restrooms, locker rooms, exercise room and a handball court for fire personnel fitness activities. RRM’s design team used durable and low maintenance materials and incorporated sustainable materials and strategies to minimize the costs for running the new facility. The project is tracking LEED Certification at the Gold Level.
