Golden Inn & Village – Affordable

The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Barbara, in partnership with the Rona Barrett Foundation, hired RRM Design Group to design and entitle the Golden Inn and Village, a model project that addresses the growing crisis facing lower-income seniors who need affordable housing and care. This Low Income Housing Tax Credit Project is a beautiful campus in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley that includes a 60-bed assisted living and memory care facility, 60 affordable independent senior apartments, a senior community center, and 27 affordable apartments for on-site employees and local families. The site amenities include landscaped courtyards, walking paths, family barbecue areas, and a tot lot. The project required a general plan amendment and rezone.
