Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Campus Master Plan

Cal Poly university is a nationally-ranked public university that prides itself on learn by doing. RRM Design Group prepared the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Master Plan as guidance for approximately the next 20 years. The Plan addresses academic program demand, physical constraints, environmental protection, development of new residential communities and recreation areas, and capital and operating budget requirements necessary to support an increase in future student enrollment. To strengthen positive relationships between the University and the community, RRM Design Group developed the Plan with a coalition of regional interest groups that provided strategic input throughout the planning process. To further this outreach process, RRM Design Group formed task force groups that met regularly to develop draft-guiding principles focused on built environment, natural environment, circulation, inter-governmental relations, housing, and university/city relations.
