The new PBHS will be a much needed replacement campus for SLCUSD students who utilize this alternative high school to meet their educational goals. New classrooms with high-volume ceilings, plenty of natural daylighting and large openings to the outdoors will offer students opportunities to study STEM, vocational arts, and culinary science in state-of-the-art environments. A multi-purpose room with high clerestory windows supports media, library and dining functions and opens onto a central courtyard. The courtyard is designed for casual seating, collaborative gatherings, and for formal events.

Utilizing a simple and repetitive structural layout, the floor plans were organized to be constructed as either modular buildings or conventional site-built construction. The resulting design expresses function with a contemporary aesthetic of simplicity. When completed in 2025-26, the campus will provide recreational amenities to the surrounding community including basketball courts, pickle-ball courts and open playfields.
