Located at a prominent city intersection, this renovation consisted of two Art Deco period buildings that were in disrepair. The entire property was transformed into a colorful and inviting business corridor that complements the original architecture. The project’s parking lot required a complex permitting process. The two buildings are divided by city and county jurisdictions, and the project team had to obtain signage and building permits from both agencies. Meeting the varying ordinances increased the time to obtain permits. The project team carefully reviewed the improvement plans before submittals and met the permitting challenges with solid teamwork and careful attention to details.
