Information Technology Services | Information Technology Manager

RRM Design Group’s San Luis Obispo office is currently seeking a full-time IT Manager to join and lead our IT department.

The IT manager will be overseeing all technology tools used by the firm including individual workstations, servers, network infrastructure, and telecommunications for all offices. Managing, developing, and evaluating IT, staff. Developing policies and procedures related to the use of the firm’s technology and facility resources. Participating in appropriate committees to ensure IT involvement. Maintaining our information technology position to provide strategic business advantages and improve our firm’s operational efficiency.

This rewarding job Involves:

  • Demonstrating leadership and connection with all departments and other offices within the firm
  • Supervising all IT employees’ progress of work; resolving problems; and ensuring that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
  • Educating IT policy and procedures to staff and new hires.
  • Ensuring IT support of all RRM service groups and core practice.
  • Consulting with the COO on departments and companywide initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
  • Overseeing network infrastructure including servers, cabling, hubs, routers, and switches
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with and coordinating activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training vendors
  • Managing equipment, software, and IT personnel expenditures to ensure that approved budgets are maintained.
  • Managing office security system, alarm, camera, etc.
  • Being an integral team member in support of the RRM’s mission, vision, values, and goals


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience to include managing wide area networks, security, Microsoft 365, server software, and enterprise software applications.
  • Current knowledge of professional codes, laws, computer applications, and trends.
