Our San Luis Obispo office is currently seeking a RRMer to join us as a part-time Receptionist on our Administration team. Our firm utilizes two receptionists to cover the front desk at our headquarters’ office during operating hours; this part-time position is for our afternoon receptionist and consists of a Monday -Thursday 12 pm-5 pm and Friday 8 am-5 pm schedule.

As the PM Receptionist your job is to greet internal and external customers at the front receptionist desk in a professional and courteous manner; to handle customer inquiries and provide assistance as necessary; to direct all incoming calls to the appropriate people; to provide the highest level of customer service to all clients and employees to represent RRM as a professional organization; and to perform other duties including running errands, acting as an active member of the safety and administration teams, and other duties as assigned. Our growing firm is looking for an individual who is eager to be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team that offers a great balance of professional fulfillment and fun. 

Your role looks like:
  • Directing walk-in traffic, and calls by managing a multi-line switchboard.
  • Coordinating in-house meetings, and overseeing a booking and tracking system for resources such as conference rooms and fleet vehicles.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, and overnight parcels.
  • Assisting with selected travel coordination tasks, contributing to a larger administrative team, and additional duties as assigned.
  • Be an ambassador of RRM; internal and external.
What you’ll bring to the table:
  • High School diploma
  • Two (2) years of experience in front desk reception
  • Great verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a strong professional demeanor
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team setting
Above & Beyond:
  • Some work experience in architecture, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, or planning firm
