RRM Design Group is an employee-owned company seeking a full-time Financial Controller to join our team. Our growing firm is looking for an individual  with a growth mindset to be an internal and external ambassador for our company. The Controller is responsible for accounting operations and ensuring compliance within the department.

Our ideal candidate has proven GAAP experience, an exposed background in software implementation, and strong leadership management skills. Reporting to the COO, this position will manage all accounting activities while overseeing the accounting department, providing thorough mentorship. Your role looks like:
  • Oversee and manage audits including 401k, worker’s compensation, ICR Indirect Cost Rate Audit (FAR), accounting processes, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with workgroup principals, market sector leaders, fellow managers, and associates in updating and fulfilling the Strategic Plan goals.
  • Review Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) billing rates, and financial statements.
  • Maintain and develop annual budgets and Business Plan structure.
  • Prepare Month-End and Year-End Close reporting financials in a timely manner.
  • Cash Flow analysis and management.
  • Continuous research, development, and improvement related to software, processes, efficiency, strategic planning, and trends and practices.
  • Oversight of accounting department that includes A/P and, A/R, Collections, and Payroll.
  • Provide leadership development and mentorship within the accounting department.
What you’ll bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 10 years of proven GAAP experience.
  • Experience using ERP software.
  • Demonstrated success in software migration and implementation.
  • Multi-entity and M&A exposure in previous roles.
  • Successful track record of mentorship and development.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Above & Beyond:
  • CPA – not required but is a plus!
  • Previous ESOP and AES experiences are desirable.
