RRM Design Group is currently seeking a RRMer to join us as a full-time Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team. This position can be located in any of our five office locations.
The Project Engineer will provide project design in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including plans, calculations, specifications, and estimates for entire projects and portions of larger projects, with moderate direction from senior staff.
Your role looks like:
- Support management for public and private land development projects, including schedule, budget, communication with client, and overall project design, under the supervision of Project Manager.
- Monitor performance of junior staff in staying within scope and budget.
- Oversee overall project budget for managed projects.
- Direct and oversee CAD and design work of junior staff.
- Assist in the preparation of task budgets within a proposal, under the direction of a Project Manager.
- Prepare the report and direct the activities of junior staff in gathering data.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of five (5) years of work experience.
- Current knowledge of professional codes, laws, computer applications, and trends.
- PE license.
- Work experience in Civil 3D.
Above & Beyond:
- Some work experience in architecture, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, or planning firm.
- Applicable work experience is desirable.
- Experience in hydrology, utilities, drainage systems, and sewers is a plus.

COMPENSATION:
The hiring range for this role is targeted at $93,562- $105,814 per year dependent on skills and experience.
