RRM Design Group, an employee-owned company, is actively recruiting a full-time Engineer II to enhance our dynamic Civil Engineering team. As an Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in crafting engineering plans using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, contributing to basic design tasks, and conducting engineering calculations in close collaboration with our senior staff.
Beyond the conventional realms of utilities, sewers, and drainage, our San Juan Capistrano civil engineering team also works on projects that extend to the development of parks, hiking trails, and bike trails, showcasing the diverse and impactful nature of our work.
Your role looks like:
- Assisting in the preparation of civil engineering plans in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Working with senior staff to do design work and engineering calculations
- Producing accurate CAD work plans for grading, street improvements, water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
- Working in a multi-discipline and collaborative environment.
- Working on both public and private projects throughout the state of California.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3-7 experience years of related work experience.
- Experience in Civil 3D.
- E.I.T. Certified.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working in teams.
Above & Beyond:
- Some work experience in architecture, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, or planning firm.
- Relevant work experience is desirable.
- Experience in hydrology, utilities, drainage systems, and sewers is a plus.

COMPENSATION:
The hiring range for this role is targeted at $38.50 – $45.13 per hour depending on skills and experience.
