Prince Memorial Greenway

RRM Design Group completed the Master Plan, design development plans, and construction documents for the award-winning Prince Memorial Greenway project. As lead urban designers and landscape architects, RRM collaborated with a team of civil engineers, hydrologists, biologists, and public artists to revitalize a 3/4 mile former concrete drainage channel into a lush greenway and trail system connecting Santa Rosa’s downtown core with its historic Railroad Square area. After an extensive public collaboration, the design of the project emerged: as a linear parkway with urban design, restoration, and recreation elements, including a multi-modal ADA accessible bike and pedestrian path, parks and plazas, public sculptures, extensive restoration landscaping, and a naturalized creek bottom.
