SunPower - Montalto 45MW Facility

Working closely with Cobalt Construction and their construction team, RRM Design Group provided civil engineering, construction cost estimating and construction management assistance for this 45 mega - watt Sunpower solar facility located in Montalto, Italy. Tasks included engineering for the project roads system, layout of the solar panel blocks, construction phasing, horizontal and vertical control, grading, hydrology and drainage facility design. The facility was designed with an emphasis towards sustainability for all elements of the project. The project implemented a “light on the land” approach with special attention to pervious surfaces, bio - swales and minimizing grading while maintaining the overall project objectives.
