Chevron San Luis Obispo Tank Farm
RRM Design Group was hired for the design and planning of the 332-acre Chevron San Luis Obispo Tank Farm project. This project consists of two components: remediation and development. The remediation and restoration component includes demolishing existing buildings, excavating top soil, site re-contouring, capping, and increasing the quantity of wetland and rare plant habitats. The second component involves amendments to the City and County General Plans, and developing portions of the project site through entitlements, for commercial or industrial uses. In addition to the commercial and industrial component, this project will create a unique riparian corridor, reestablishing Tank Farm Creek; it will create a network of bikeways, pedestrian and recreational facilities; and it will improve Tank Farm Road to four lanes with a median and re-align and extend Santa Fe Road to the Prado Road connection.
