Buellton Community Design Guidelines

The City of Buellton Redevelopment Agency commissioned RRM to work with interested citizens and the redevelopment agency to create an Urban Design Plan for Avenue of Flags in downtown Buellton. The Urban Design Plan addresses appropriate land uses, circulation and parking recommendations, streetscape design, gateways and signage and implementation of these improvements. To enhance the Avenue and create a downtown destination with a flourishing mix of retail, office, residential, and Civic Center uses, RRM first conducted stakeholder and public meetings to help establish goals, refine planning ideas, and guide the ultimate Plan. The Avenue will be refurbished over time to include diagonal parking in front of retail shops, enhanced landscaping and public art in medians, new street furnishings, public parking, and downtown gateway monuments.
