This past Saturday the community of Venice Beach and the Venice Surf and Skateboard Association (VSA), along with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new $2.4 million facility. The ceremony was attended by over 15,000 skateboarders and community members.
