The Cloisters Community Park and Morro Dunes Trails
Morro Bay, CA
As part of The Cloisters coastal subdivision, RRM Design Group designed a 57 acre Community Park including multi-use trail system.
The Park encompasses a 22 acre dune and wetland restoration program, a 4 acre community space, and 31 acres of wetlands, trails, and meadows. Park features include group and individual picnic areas, informal grass play areas, trails, interpretive educational displays, and a play area for children.
The comprehensive trail system includes multi-purpose trails that navigate environmentally sensitive coastal dunes and wetlands and connects to the Morro Bay Class I Citywide bike system.
RRM coordinated all approvals and permits through the City, the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the California Coastal Commission.
