Avila Beach Park

Avila Beach, CA

RRM Design Group completed the design, the approvals, the permitting, and the construction documents for a small community park, an urban plaza, and beach facilities.

The park includes a basketball court, a restroom building, picnic areas, paths, and a custom “ship wreck” playground, offering a place for children and parents to imagine, engage, and create. The park also provides an interface between the beach and community green space. Moreover, the site furniture and other amenities reflect the beautiful seaside in their architectural vocabulary.

The final project was presented to the Front Street Enhancement Committee, the County of San Luis Obispo, the Port San Luis Harbor District, and the California Coastal Commission.
