The Woodlands Specific Plan

Combining community outreach with public agency coordination, RRM Design Group provided the project entitlement, the General Plan update, the Specific Plan, the design guidelines, and the EIR preparation and approvals for the Woodlands Specific Plan.

The 957 acre area includes 3 signature golf courses (two 18-hole and one 9-hole); a 500 room resort hotel; a 26,000 sf recreation center; a 20 acre business park; a 143,000 sf Village Commercial Center with 1,320 homes; a series of pocket parks; a butterfly habitat; extensive multi-use and equestrian trails; and a future elementary school site, all phased over 10-15 years.

To encourage pedestrians and minimize traffic, most residences are located within ¼ mile walking distance from the Village Commercial Center and the business park.
