Cambria Grammar School Campus
Cambria, CA
With extensive community outreach, complete Coastal Commission approval, full EIR/CEQA studies, and a thorough General Plan Amendment, RRM Design Group provided the Master Plan and design of the new Cambria Grammar School.
The 14.6 acre, steep hillside site required resourceful engineering design and architectural considerations, including erosion control and storm water pollution prevention; storm water filtration; a 1.7 million gallon subsurface storage system; and a pressure system to recycle the storm water collected for irrigation, utilize an Evaporation Control System to irrigate the turf areas and maintain the seasonal flow to existing and expanded wetland areas.
