CSU Stanislaus John Stuart Rogers Faculty Development Center

Turlock, CA

Using green features, RRM Design Group provided sustainable design through construction administration for the John Stuart Rogers Faculty Development Center, an approximately 10,000 sf building in the heart of California State University, Stanislaus campus. The lodge-style building includes classrooms, faculty offices, a catering kitchen, a reserve room, and a large patio that overlooks a campus lake.

The vast green features include recycled plastic roofing tile; low VOC paint; recycled and recyclable carpets and backing; earth berming as a natural insulation; greater-than-minimum required standards for Title 24 requirements; high efficiency wood windows and patio doors; occupancy sensors and an EMS system; and staining of the concrete floor slab.
