La Vigna at Westgate Ranch Single Family Homes

Santa Maria, Ca

RRM Design Group designed these single family homes in two-story agrarian style architecture, which reflects the rural farming heritage of the region. The six different floor plans feature usable porches that face the street, rear-facing garage doors, and extensive native landscaping.  

In order to retain the desirable characteristics of single family living while achieving higher density per the Specific Plan, the homes are arranged in a four home drive court. This arrangement also maximizes private backyard areas. The design achieved a unique street character through reduced road widths, off-street perpendicular guest parking, and a mix of unit types placed to avoid repetition along the street. 

The project community areas include a centrally located recreational pool facility, tot lot, large lawn area and an internal pedestrian trail system that connects to a larger regional multi-use trail system.
